dpli does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
No accounts. No analytics. No tracking. No cloud. All noise is synthesized on your device in real-time, and nothing about you or your usage leaves it.
Who this applies to
This policy covers the dpli apps for iPhone, Mac, and Apple Watch, and the website at dpli.app. In this document “we” refers to the makers of dpli, and “you” refers to anyone using the app or the site.
What we don't collect
We want to be specific, because “we don't collect data” can mean many things. dpli does not collect any of the following:
- Your name, email, phone number, or any account identifier — dpli has no accounts and no sign-in.
- Your location, IP address, or device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, advertising ID).
- Analytics, telemetry, crash reports, or usage statistics.
- Which presets you play, how long you listen, or when you use the app.
- Contacts, calendar, microphone, photos, or any other device data.
- Cookies or tracking pixels on the website.
How dpli works offline
dpli synthesizes every noise mathematically on your device. No audio files are downloaded, no presets are streamed, and the app does not make network requests to our servers — because we don't run any. You can use dpli entirely in airplane mode.
All your settings, preferences, and any content you create stay in local storage on your device. If you delete the app, that data is gone.
Purchases and subscriptions
If you buy dpli or subscribe to a premium tier, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes your payment and tells dpli only whether your subscription is active — they do not share your payment details, name, or email with us.
To manage, restore, or cancel a subscription, use Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device, or visit reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple's privacy policy applies to anything handled on their side.
Third-party services
dpli does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The app does not integrate with Google, Meta, Firebase, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or any similar service.
Children's privacy
dpli is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal data from anyone, we also collect no personal data from children. The app complies with the spirit of COPPA and GDPR-K by design.
Your rights under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws
Laws like the GDPR (EU), UK GDPR, and CCPA (California) give you rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data a company holds about you. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf.
If you have questions about how these laws apply to dpli, email us and we'll answer.
When you email us
If you contact us at contact@dpli.app, we'll see your message and your email address so we can reply. We use this only to respond to your request. We don't add you to any mailing list, and we don't share your message with anyone outside of answering it.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how dpli handles data, we'll update this page and update the effective date at the top. For any material change, we'll make it clearly visible in the app before it takes effect.
